Dynamics 365 Technical Architect
Own the technical design for Dynamics 365 programmes: environments, integrations, extensions, security and the path to a clean go-live.
About the Dynamics 365 Technical Architect role
You will be the technical authority on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Commerce and related Microsoft cloud. Consultants own the process; developers write the X++ and integrations; you decide what is configuration, what is an extension, and how the landscape stays upgrade-safe.
What you will do
Lead the technical architecture for Dynamics 365 client programmes: environments, ALM, security, integrations and extension strategy.
Write and defend the solution design: data model, interfaces, reporting (SSRS and Electronic Reporting) and cutover approach.
Set coding and package standards for X++ customizations and extensions so wave updates stay possible.
Design integrations across F&O, Commerce, Dataverse, Azure and line-of-business systems.
Review designs and pull requests, unblock developers, and stay accountable through UAT, cutover and hypercare.
Work with functional consultants and the project manager so scope, estimate and architecture stay one story.
What you bring
You have been the technical architect or lead developer on a Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX) programme that reached production.
You can draw the landscape — environments, identities, integrations, data movement — and explain the trade-offs.
Strong X++ and extension model judgement: you know when not to customize.
You have designed or reviewed integrations, SSRS and Electronic Reporting on live tenants.
Nice to have
MB-700 or equivalent architect certification.
Commerce, dual-write or Azure integration patterns.
DevOps and environment strategy for F&O.
Ability to travel to Europe is an added advantage.
