Funds, payroll and procurement each had their own rules and each ended the month in a separate reconciliation. The design had to make them post as one.

Dimensions and a posting matrix on the chart of accounts.

Requisition, order, receipt and payment. No warehouse.

Kenyan statutory payroll, and a grant ledger with partner accountability.
The result
GrantFlow 365 is the grant ledger, not a workbook beside it.
What similar organisations can take from it
- Put the fund and grant on the chart of accounts as dimensions, with a posting matrix, so each transaction is tagged once.
- Configure procure to pay without a warehouse when the organisation holds no stock, rather than carrying unused modules.
- Keep the grant ledger in the system, with partner accountability, so it is the record and not a workbook beside the record.
